weird fonzie drawing 2.

Submitted by ricardo galvez on

here is another iteration of the "fonzie." Again, I took an image and photographed it w/ the iPad's camera (not terribly great) and worked it up w/ the sketchpad pro app.  And now I need to set it up so that the image gets the right sizing in the column of the full post view. it can be tricky.

It looks like we cant control images very well in this context... might we catch them w/ css or js and resize them... or, do we let drupal handle the image uploading? i like the the latter. but what about users who are used to loading inline images. Another draw back is its difficult to get the Colorbox functionality on the inline images w/ out some hacking at CKeditor. All in all it seems like we have way more control over a images placement and layout breakage avoidance if eschew this method. Alas some clients love to have their inline images...

kthulu

Submitted by ricardo galvez on

i have been working on this drawing for a while. mostly on scrap piece of paper, w/ red ball point pen. i took a picture of w/ the ipad and then began working it up in sketchpad. though this is a work in progress i wanted to give the drawing as a gift, so i reduced to a gray-scale, but you can see the color version here. i called it ktulu only because i listen to metallica and have been meaning to get around to reading hp lovecraft. hunter of the shadows is rising...

check in

Submitted by jefferson_twilight on

Just wanted to check in. site is progressing nicely. still lots to do though. get all the media queries built in and wrestle w/ display suite. its kinda fun building and designing a site concurrently. with no real plan other than knowing what i don't want, this site build has been pretty gratifying. no expectations, no deadline, just pushing pixels and code around...word.

totto ramen in 5

Submitted by jefferson_twilight on

might be a wait, sometimes the line is too long for my short lunch break. but one has to try, no, one must try. one other thing i need to do is get this wysiwyg editor into line. i like it. its light and sleek and is seemingly working out of the box, w/ little configuration. update: spicy ramen

Using twitterfeed is working pretty well for pulling a rss blog post straight into twitter or otherwise, but getting a very specific view into rss is a bit more tricky.

the dalai lama teaches us to have compassion for subway door blockers. that is, the buddah has placed that inconsiderate jerk in your way to test you.
